Drummer TERRY BOZZIO Says Working With KORN Is 'Really Exciting'
January 20, 2007Legendary rock drummer Terry Bozzio, who recently joined KORN on a temporary basis to fill in for original drummer David Silveria on their next album and tour, told Ultimate-Guitar.com how he hooked up with the band and what they have planned for 2007.
"I worked with Jonathan [Davis, KORN frontman] on the 'Queen of the Damned' soundtrack, and we hit it off," Bozzio, 56, said. "His drummer, David, feels like he needs to take a break for a while. He's been at it ten years, so he's gonna kick back and I'm going to play with KORN, which is really exciting and lots of fun.
"We've been working for two-and-a-half weeks now. I just finished the last two days, pretty much eight hours a day, overdubbing on some stuff they did with the Matrix [producers] and we had written about six to eight tunes together. We'll re-record those and we're start working in February with Atticus Ross producing. So right up until the record is supposed to come out in March. I'll be busy doing that until then. And then we'll tour Europe first in the beginning of the summer and then The Family Values Tour of the States in late summer."
